Perth music app developers made $1.1mil

Australian-made iOS app darling Filter Squad has hit one million downloads for its Discovr app and has promptly closed $1.1m in seed funding.

Discovr is essentially a smart recommendation engine that allows you to find music based on your existing field of preferences.

Discovr is currently a number one app in 28 countries and the app’s success is surprisingly being driven from Japan, rather than the US or Australia.
