Windows XP has turned 10 year old

Windows XP has turned 10 years old. And over the last decade, quite a bit has happened with the operating system. It launched to much fanfare and quickly became one of the best desktop operating systems ever launched. As its popularity soared, it helped people in emerging markets enter the Windows ecosystem. Even after it was replaced by Windows Vista in 2007, the operating system refused to die, holding on to this very day. But there were also some issues with Windows XP. As enterprise users know all too well, the operating system suffered from security woes that caused some companies to lose data and worse, see their networks broken into. The operating system unfortunately didn’t reach a level of security that many users had hoped for at launch. There are quite a few things, good and bad, to remember about Windows XP now that it has turned 10.
