25 hurts in express bus accident

JOHOR BARU, Nov 7 — Three people including a Cambodian tourist were seriously hurt while 22 others received minor injuries when their express bus went out of control and plunged into a drain.

The accident happened at Km19 of the North-South Expressway near Kulaijaya at 4.40am today.

According to a passenger, the bus had just passed the toll plaza at Kulai when it swerved violently, hit a divider and plunged into the drain.

Several passengers were said to have been thrown out of the vehicle, according to The Star Online.

The injured passengers were sent to hospital for treatment.

Police are questioning the 45-year-old bus driver.
