How to save iPhone battery life in iOS 5.0

Hey readers, reparound is going to guide you 6 tips on how to prevent the 'suckage' of battery life on your iPhone after upgraded the OS to iOS 5.

Occasionally, you may realize the battery life inadvertently fall 8% - 15% even the device is on standby mode.  Yes, partially it is because of the awesome features that provided by Apple.  Let's have a look on the guides as follow.



1. Turn off the Setting Time 

Apple using this setting time feature to detect your location and update the device time itself.  It will be useful when you are on travel.

Just open up your Settings > Location Services > System Services (At the most bottom)

*Note: This will only appear when you turn on your location services







2. Off the Push Email Service

The push email service helps you to check and fetch new email with the time that set by you.  And, it will keep using your network data to load the new mail from your inbox.

Open up your Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data












3. Kill the Background Apps

When you quit an app, the device itself doesn't really fully turn off the app.  In fact, it is still silently running on your device background.

Double press on your home button > Hold the apps for approx. 2 seconds













4. Turn 3G Network to OFF


The 3G network data is the vampire of your battery life.  You will definitely found out that the battery usage will be faster while compare you using your Wi-Fi.

Just turn it off when you are in idle mode. Sleeping?

Settings > General > Network


*Note: iPhone 4s already disabled the enable 3G feature and by default its already ON because of SIRI.
